I have a use-case that I'd like automated transcription

I have a use-case that I'd like automated transcription for (it's D&D with my friends), but the commercial solutions I found all want $10-30 CAD/month.

But lo, I was able to get something relatively solid running with open-source tools from just my GPU in about 3 hours.

There's a lot of stuff I hate about the modern LLM craze, but I do, in fact, feel pretty okay about a useful, mostly open-source, local thing.
